What is Vasaram?

Vasaram is the weekday (Sunday through Saturday), each ruled by a different planet and associated with a sacred mantra called Rama Namam, traditionally chanted throughout that day.

Many practitioners recite their Vasaram’s Rama Namam daily – upon waking as part of morning prayers, during meditation, in the evening, or for 108 repetitions as a formal practice using a mala.
